On November 14, 2019 young women and their parents from across the Region attended the Build a Dream event at Bingeman’s Conference Centre.

Build a Dream highlights career options in the skilled trades, STEM, emergency services, and entrepreneurship. The goal of these events is to allow young women the opportunity to discover a pathway to a career that is underrepresented by women.  Through exhibits, engaging with a panel of professional women, and hands-on activities provided by Conestoga College, students had an evening of self-led discovery.

The Waterloo Catholic District School Board was represented by 325 female students in grades 7-12, along with their families.
