General Description of Duties:

Support the implementation of OSS for:

  • The Chef Training program
  • The Hairstyling program
  • The Cooperative Education program
  • Conduct School-To-Work program intake sessions for Hairstyling and Culinary Arts programs
  • Liaise and collaborate with Administration, Program Managers, Department Heads, Community Partners, & Co-op staff
  • Analyze Department course offerings and liaise with Marketing department to improve literature and web-based material for the School-To-Work programs
  • Analyze Department student success rates
  • Analyze student attrition rates
  • Provide monthly activity reports to Administration
  • Conduct Department meetings
  • Supervise SSC attendance/behavioural issues (with a focus on the Chef Training and Hairstyling students)
  • Coordinate program schedules yearly for Hairstyling and Culinary Arts programs

Minimum Requirements:

  • Hold a Certificate of Qualification (Intermediate and/or Senior) in Tech Education and Co-op
  • Hold a Certification of Registration with the Ontario College of Teachers and be in good standing
  • Have an understanding of OSS
  • Demonstrated leadership ability

Desirable Assets:

  • Have a working knowledge of the student information software TRILLIUM
  • Certified Hairstylist and/or Chef in the field of Culinary Arts

Salary Level

  • $44.01 per hour

Hours of Work:

  •  17.5 hours/week, with some evening work required, up to 42 weeks/year
