Baptismal Certificate
A Catholic Baptismal Certificate is a requirement for all students entering the WCDSB.
A copy of the student’s/parent’s/guardian’s baptismal certificate used to register will be placed in the student’s Ontario Student Record.
Direction of School Support
All property owners and tenants are initially Public School supporters by default. To support a separate school board, the property owner or tenant must be Roman Catholic. Roman Catholics must declare themselves Separate School supporters by completing a “Application for Direction of School Support ” form for their child(ren) to attend a school within the WCDSB.
Catholic School Lease Agreement
A “Catholic School Support Lease” allows people who jointly own or rent a property to designate school support to the Separate School Board when one of the owners or tenants is non-Roman Catholic.
The Separate School Lease Agreement may be required at the time of registration.
How to Register Your Child (Born in Canada)
What school will my child(ren) attend?
All student registrations take place at the school. School Administrative Staff are available throughout the school year and during the first week of July and the last week of August to register your child(ren) for school in the Waterloo Catholic District School Board.
Required Documents for Registration:
Please be prepared to provide the following:
- Child’s Roman Catholic Baptismal Certificate or one Parent’s RC Baptismal Certificate
- Proof of Home Address (utility bill, property tax assessment, tenant lease, etc.)
- Child’s Health Immunization Record
- Child’s Proof of Age and Legal Name (please provide one of the following documents):
- Birth Certificate
- Certified Birth Registration
- Adoption Papers
- Certificate of Indian Status
- Passport
